Glenn discusses the work of Rupert Miles Smithson
The Artist provides me a view of total abstraction, wherein allowing me to interpret my own perception of ‘Party Fish’ without the confines of trying to understand the artists personal perception at the time of painting. There is a sense of freedom within the piece that I believe is in the evidence of the statement ‘There are no straight lines in nature’, enabling the artist to play with form, colour and texture in the most unhindered way, promoting a sense of positivity within myself, the viewer.
